We are hiring an experienced Performance Engineer / Senior Performance Engineer with strong expertise in low-latency performance testing, electronic trading, OMS, and Matching Engine environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform performance testing for low-latency APIs and trading systems.
- Analyze Tick-to-Trade latency, P99/P99.9 latency, network jitter, and throughput.
- Test Order Management Systems (OMS), Matching Engines, and Order-to-Trade workflows.
- Design load and stress scenarios for high-volume order placement, modification, and cancellation.
- Perform performance regression and scalability testing.
- Analyze CPU, memory, GC, disk I/O, network, and system-level bottlenecks.
- Work with FIX and exchange-specific binary protocols.
- Develop and execute performance tests using Python and C++/Python load generators.
- Use monitoring and analysis tools to identify latency bottlenecks.
- Prepare detailed performance reports and provide recommendations for system optimization.
Mandatory Skills
- 6–8 years of Performance Engineering / Performance Testing.
- Capital Markets / FinTech / Electronic Trading experience.
- Strong knowledge of HFT, Matching Engine, Order Book, OMS, and Order-to-Trade lifecycle.
- Python – Mandatory.
- C++/Python-based performance or load-testing tools.
- FIX Protocol / Binary Protocols.
- Wireshark / TCPDump / latency measurement tools.
- Linux kernel tuning, CPU pinning, memory management.
- Prometheus / Grafana / ELK or similar monitoring tools.
Preferred Skills
- FPGA-based trading.
- Solarflare / Onload / Kernel Bypass.
- Exchange-specific performance and regulatory requirements.
