Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced photo editor with strong digital journalism and visual storytelling skills. The ideal candidate should have 4–8 years of experience handling visual media for online platforms, with the ability to work across diverse content categories including news, lifestyle, sports, and entertainment. The role involves working in shifts, including weekends and nights (on rotation), to deliver high-quality visual content for global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Microsoft's photo and visual content guidelines

• Select, edit, crop, and curate relevant photos to accompany a wide range of editorial content

• Collaborate with editors across various markets, especially the US, for visual content requirements

• Research topics and briefs to identify images that align contextually and editorially

• Create and manage standalone photos, slideshows, and multiple-image features

• Handle fast-paced and breaking news situations, ensuring speed and accuracy

• Contribute ideas for photo-led slideshows and plan for coverage of major events

• Liaise with internal product and technology teams to test and improve content workflows

• Maintain awareness of visual trends and continuously enhance photo quality and engagement

• Work with international editorial teams across different time zones
