Job Description

The Architectural Studio, Delhi, is a forward-thinking architecture firm focused on delivering innovative, sustainable, and contemporary design solutions. We are seeking a motivated and talented Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Design Development: Work alongside senior architects and project managers to create design concepts, develop architectural drawings, and produce 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Drafting and Documentation: Prepare accurate architectural drawings, blueprints, and construction documents according to project specifications and design briefs.
  • Project Collaboration: Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to assist in translating client needs into functional design solutions.
  • Site Visits and Inspections: Attend site visits with senior architects to observe construction progress, ensure designs are implemented correctly, and help resolve any on-site issues.
  • Research and Analysis: Research building codes, zoning laws, materials, and environmental factors to inform the design process.
  • Rendering: Assist in creating renderings and presentation materials for client meetings.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all designs adhere to local building regulations, safety standards, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest architectural trends, tools, and software, and actively seek opportunities to improve your skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Design Skills: A strong foundation in architectural design principles, spatial understanding, and an eye for detail.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
  • Creativity and Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively and propose innovative design solutions while considering practical constraints.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing design projects and technical skills (submitted upon application and with the email).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship Experience: Prior internship or work experience in an architecture firm or related field is a plus.
  • Sustainability Knowledge: Understanding of sustainable design principles.
  • Project Management Interest: Basic understanding of project management principles or an interest in developing project management skills.
  • Construction Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction techniques, materials, and structural systems.
  • 3D Visualization Skills: Proficiency in rendering software such as V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape to create photorealistic images and visualizations.
