About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive (Upwork Bidder) who has hands-on experience generating leads and acquiring international projects through platforms like Upwork. The candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, communicating with clients, and converting leads into long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and bid on relevant projects on Upwork and other freelance platforms.
- Write customized and high-quality proposals based on client requirements.
- Communicate with international clients to understand project scope and requirements.
- Negotiate project budgets, timelines, and deliverables with potential clients.
- Maintain and update records of bids, leads, and conversions.
- Coordinate with technical teams to understand project feasibility and provide accurate solutions to clients.
- Follow up with potential leads and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work towards achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Stay updated with market trends and competitor activities in the IT services industry.
Required Skills
- 13 years of experience in IT business development or Upwork bidding.
- Strong understanding of Upwork bidding strategies and proposal writing.
- Experience in generating leads for web development, mobile apps, AI/ML, or software development services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into business proposals.
- Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
- Experience using CRM tools, spreadsheets, or sales tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with international clients (US, UK, Europe).
- Knowledge of additional platforms like Freelancer, Fiverr, or LinkedIn for lead generation.
- Understanding of IT technologies such as React, Node.js, AI, or cloud solutions.
