The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and a passion for quality assurance. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Design and execute test cases for Unix-based applications
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand application functionality
- Perform regression testing and ensure the stability of the application after updates
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and methodologies
Skills and Qualifications- Proficient in Unix/Linux command line and shell scripting
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Perl
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
