We are currently seeking a Unix System Integration Sr. Analyst to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Description:

  • Educational Qualification:
    Must be a graduate (B. Tech/B.E./B.Sc./MCA or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    3 to 7 years of experience as a Linux/Unix System Administrator in enterprise environments.
  • Core Linux Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Linux OS (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu, SUSE).
    • Ability to handle day-to-day administration tasks including user management, file systems, process management, performance tuning, and log analysis.
    • Experience with system hardening and security best practices.
  • Patching & Lifecycle Management:
    • Hands-on experience with Linux OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance (e.g., using tools like YUM/DNF, Spacewalk, Satellite, Landscape, or similar).
    • Awareness of security benchmarks (CIS, STIG) is desirable.
  • Automation & Scripting:
    • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) is required.
    • Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible / Puppet / Chef is highly desirable.
    • Basic knowledge of Python scripting is a plus.
  • Cloud & Virtualization:
    • Basic working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and Linux workloads in cloud environments.
    • Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Containers & DevOps Exposure:
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and basic understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift.
    • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is an added advantage.
  • Monitoring & Observability:
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
    • Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Troubleshooting & Incident Management:
    • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system outages, performance issues, and incidents within SLA.
    • Experience in handling production incidents and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Installation & Upgrades:
    • Hands-on experience in Linux system installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • UNIX Variants (Optional):
    • Knowledge of other UNIX flavors like AIX, Solaris, HP-UX is an added advantage.
  • ITSM & Process Compliance:
    • Well-versed with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Requests).
    • Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA Service Management.
  • Certifications:
    • RHCE / RHCSA / LFCS / Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
    • Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and technologies.
    • Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and customer-focused approach.

  • 3 to 7 Years

Work Timings:

  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts with a 24x7 support model, including on-call support.

Job Description:

  • Should have a deep level of understanding of Linux OS & should be able to handle day to day Admin tasks.
  • Should be good with Linux OS patching.
  • Knowledge in shell scripting would be preferred.
  • Should have good troubleshooting skills to fix system down issues.
  • Experience on Linux System installation / upgrade is desirable.
  • Knowledge on other UNIX flavors like Solaris/AIX/HP-UX would be an added advantage.
  • Should be well versed with ITIL.
  • RHCE certified would be preferred.
  • Should have excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Must be keen to learn new development methods and technologies and be a fast learner.
  • Be enthusiastic about work and be a good team player.
  • Maintain the positive attitude, be honest and sincere in work.

Work Timings:

  • Should be willing to work in rotational shift with 24x7 support window.
