Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Unix/Linux L3 Administrator with deep enterprise experience in Red Hat and SUSE environments. This role focuses on advanced system administration, migration, clustering, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization across large-scale enterprise platforms.

The position requires strong hands-on expertise in Linux architecture, virtualization, storage management, and system performance with the ability to support mission-critical environments in a 24/7 rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain enterprise Linux environments
  • Perform Red Hat and SUSE OS upgrades and migrations
  • Support RHEL 7/8/9 and SUSE 15 systems
  • Troubleshoot complex Unix/Linux issues
  • Plan and execute enterprise migration activities
  • Assess infrastructure requirements for new application deployments
  • Deploy and migrate systems across hypervisors and cloud platforms
  • Configure and maintain Linux clustering
  • Manage SAN/NAS storage environments
  • Configure multipath, bonding, and teaming
  • Perform RAID and LVM administration
  • Handle kernel patching, tuning, and custom builds
  • Manage users, packages, and configuration controls
  • Work on incident/problem tickets with root cause analysis
  • Monitor system performance and capacity planning
  • Proactively identify risk areas and mitigation strategies
  • Participate in automation initiatives and documentation

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong Linux system administration expertise
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (7/8/9)
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise (15)
  • VMware vCenter experience
  • Basic AIX knowledge
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Dell, HP hardware
  • Storage administration (SAN / NAS)
  • Kernel tuning and troubleshooting
  • Linux boot process and system internals
  • Basic scripting knowledge
