Position: Unit Tester/QA Generalist

We are looking for a QA Generalist who brings a strong foundation in software testing along with hands-on experience in working within established test automation frameworks as well as development frameworks like React. This role is ideal for someone who can balance functional testing, test automation, and quality ownership across the SDLC, rather than purely a developer-focused profile.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality assurance activities across web and/or API-based applications
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts within existing unit testing frameworks like jest, mocha.
- Actively contribute to test framework enhancements, maintenance, and scalability
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- Analyse requirements and translate them into test cases and automated test scripts (unit/E2E)
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are enforced
- Identify, log, and track defects through to closure
Qualifications
- 3–8 years of experience in QA / Software Testing roles
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and development best practices
- Solid experience with modern testing libraries (e.g. Cypress, Playwright) for component as well as E2E testing.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
- React-based testing using Jest
- Node.js-based testing using Mocha (or similar frameworks)
- Solid experience working within (and not just writing scripts for) a structured automation framework
- Experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Good knowledge of SDLC/STLC processes
- Extensive experience in working in Javascript.
- Experience in agile/scrum environment
