Job Purpose
Position Summary The Business Analyst will partner with Banking/NBFC stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document opportunities for AI & RPA-led process transformation. The role will translate business needs into clear functional requirements and data requirements, support solution design with the AI & RPA team, and ensure measurable outcomes through effective testing, rollout support, and benefits tracking.
Would be part of the AI & RPA team focusing on discovery, requirement gathering, process mapping, solution definition, and governance for AI, GenAI (Copilot/ChatGPT) use cases, and RPA implementations leveraging data lake platforms and Oracle/SQL data sources.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct process discovery workshops with Banking/NBFC stakeholders; document AS-IS processes, pain points, controls, and handoffs
- Identify automation and AI/GenAI opportunities; define TO-BE processes and expected benefits (TAT, productivity, error reduction, compliance)
- Translate business needs into clear requirements: BRD/FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and data requirements
- Partner with AI & RPA developers/architects to shape the solution approach, integration points, and controls; support estimation and prioritization
- Work with data teams to source/validate data from Oracle/SQL and data lake platforms; support mapping, reconciliation, and data quality checks
- Support testing: review test scenarios, coordinate UAT, triage defects, and ensure sign-offs and audit-ready documentation
- Drive implementation readiness: SOPs, training inputs, change management, and hypercare monitoring post go-live
- Use Copilot/ChatGPT responsibly to accelerate analysis and documentation (as per organizational guidelines), while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Manage and mentor a small delivery team for AI & RPA initiatives; track progress, resolve blockers, and report status to leadership
- Ensure governance and controls: documentation standards, access controls, segregation of duties, and compliance requirements for Banking/NBFC processes
Required Qualifications And Experience
- 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Process Analyst, preferably in Banking or NBFC
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred but not mandatory; MBA/Finance/Engineering/IT graduates may also apply
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and solution-oriented mindset; able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Hands-on experience in requirement elicitation, process mapping (AS-IS / TO-BE), BRD/FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test case review
- Working knowledge of GenAI productivity tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) for analysis, documentation, and automation ideation
- Exposure to RPA/automation programs and platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere / UiPath / Power Automate) and AI use cases is desirable
- Good understanding of data concepts and platforms: data lake/lakehouse, SQL, and Oracle; ability to work with data teams to define data requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to business and technology leadership
- People/Team management capability: can guide a small team (BA/Developers) for AI & RPA development and delivery
- Hard-working, proactive, and delivery-focused; strong ownership and follow-through
