Purpose
The Unit Head Defense Channel is responsible for driving sales growth, team building, and business development within the defense segment. The role focuses on recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing sales team while ensuring quality business, compliance, and long-term relationships with defense personnel and institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Business Growth
- Achieve assigned business targets through the Defense (PARAM) channel.
- Plan and execute sales strategies to increase penetration within defense establishments.
- Monitor productivity, conversion ratios, and revenue performance.
Team Recruitment Leadership
- Recruit, train, and develop Unit Managers / Sales Managers / Advisors.
- Drive performance management through goal setting, coaching, and reviews.
- Build a motivated, disciplined, and compliant sales team.
Defense Channel Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with defense units, canteens, associations, and influencers.
- Enhance Pramerica Life Insurances brand visibility and credibility in the defense ecosystem.
- Support field activities, joint calls, and customer engagement initiatives.
Quality, Compliance Operations
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain business quality, persistency, and customer service standards.
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and service teams for smooth execution.
MIS Reporting
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and KPIs.
- Share performance reports, forecasts, and action plans with senior management.
- Identify risks and implement corrective measures.
