Job Description

Primary Title: Unit Accountant

Location : Hyderabad

Industry & Sector: Hospitality — Full-service hotel & resort finance and operations. Fast-paced revenue-driven environment supporting front-office, F&B, events, and property management across an on-site hotel unit in India.

Location & Workplace: India — On-site role supporting the hotel unit's daily accounting and month-end financials.

About The Opportunity

Join a leading hospitality operation where finance drives operational excellence and guest experience. As a Unit Accountant you will own accurate, timely financial records for a single hotel unit, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, supporting revenue integrity, and delivering clear management reporting to unit and regional leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting for the hotel unit: post journal entries, maintain general ledger, and reconcile sub-ledgers (AR/AP, cash, and revenue).
  • Execute month-end and year-end close tasks, prepare trial balances, variance analysis, and standardised management reports for unit leadership.
  • Perform revenue and night-audit checks—validate front-office, F&B, banquet, and POS interfaces; resolve discrepancies and ensure correct revenue recognition.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable workflows: vendor invoices, payments, guest folio reconciliations, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain statutory compliance: prepare GST filings, support TDS processes, manage statutory vouchers, and assist with tax and regulatory audits.
  • Support internal and external audits, maintain fixed-asset registers, perform bank reconciliations, and implement internal-control improvements at unit level.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified accounting background with proven experience in hotel or hospitality accounting preferred.
  • Prior exposure to property-level accounting and working knowledge of hotel PMS integrations and POS systems.
  • Comfortable working on-site with collaborative teams across operations, F&B, and sales.
