Deal Support Specialist - Supervising Associate

The opportunity: EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) consists of various service delivery centres from which Client Service and Enablement Services teams operate to deliver strategic support to EY member firms. GDS spans all geographies, practices, services lines, sectors and competencies within EY to deliver integrated services that result in efficient and world-class solutions. The position in discussion is with the P&CE in EY GDS Clients and Industries Function. The GDS P&CE serves as an extension to the onshore Deals team who are involved in the direct Bid Management Processes. The P&CE supports the onshore teams on a number of opportunities, adding more value during the Deal process or the bid management cycle.

The Deal Support Specialist - Supervising Associate provides support in the different phases of the Deal process. This role will support the Pursuit Strategist/Leader in all the stages of the Bid Management Process, involving in pre-RFP, RFP response and post-RFP phase. The range of activities include project management, research, review and analytical support for the onshore Deal team throughout the bid management cycle. This role will support in executing globally consistent strategy.

Your key responsibilities

Strategic Pursuit and Opportunity Management:

  • Gather information through secondary research (both internal and external sources) and generate top-notch deliverables such as company profiles, competitor insights, trend analysis, and other valuable assets to support pre and proposal development phases.
  • Prepare and drive project management plan throughout the deal cycle by acting as a point of contact in managing the end-to-end process including but not limited to organising meetings, preparing meeting notes, finalising timelines and accountabilities as per deadlines.
  • Owns the preparation of kick-off documents, CV collation for team book, orals preparation and credentials pack. Support the development and coordination of proposal content and submission documents in line with pursuit requirements.
  • Liaise with the broader team in development of client collaterals such as storyboards, placemats, proposals and internal presentations
  • Establish and maintain clear and transparent communication and build strong stakeholders relationships by exhibiting professional etiquettes and adhering to agreed timelines and quality benchmarks
  • Manage a repository of Regional, Market Segment or Service Line client-facing collateral as appropriate
  • Exhibit innovative thinking and flexible approach while managing complex and out-of-scope requests
  • Own and maintain repository of client presentations, RFQ responses, marketing collateral, etc.
  • Quality review of deliverables

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Critical thinking, organised, detail - oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across MS Teams, email and virtual meetings

Skills and attributes for success

  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with senior UK stakeholders, including Partners, Directors and Pursuit Leaders. (Essential)
  • Prior experience in deals/pre-sales/bid management and project management
  • Experience supporting complex proposals, bids or pursuit opportunities in a professional services environment
  • Good business acumen and understanding of business development, Deal/ project management and coordination skills
  • Strong digital toolkit skills including Microsoft 365, AI-enabled tools and advanced online research techniques
  • Experience with SharePoint is desirable
  • Able to build collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders

To qualify for the role, you must have

Education:

  • University/bachelor's degree required
  • Master's in business administration

Experience:

  • 5 years to 8 years
  • Minimum 3 years experience working within a large global organisation, preferably within a professional services environment
  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential. The role involves daily interaction with UK-based stakeholders and requires the ability to participate confidently in meetings, manage communications independently and produce high-quality written outputs

Certification Requirements:

  • Expected to remain current on EY training and curriculum
  • APMP certification, PMP certification or equivalent bid/project management qualification would be advantageous

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Previous experience working directly with UK clients or UK stakeholder teams would be highly advantageous.
  • As the job involves responding to clients needs and varying time zones, long/flexible hours are regularly required
  • Moderate travel - for attending leadership meetings/trainings
