Role: UKG Workforce Management (WFM) – Functional Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced UKG WFM functional consultant to support test design, validation, and automation discovery for a UKG Workforce Management initiative. This role is focused on understanding WFM business processes and translating them into high-quality test scenarios and automation-ready test scripts. The consultant will not perform configuration, integrations, or data conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze UKG WFM functional processes and business rules to identify test scenarios
• Create detailed functional test scripts for UKG WFM modules, with clear preconditions, steps, and expected results
• Ensure test coverage across Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Absence, and Pay/Labor rules
• Work closely with the product and automation teams to identify automation candidates and testing patterns
• Support discovery of edge cases, exceptions, and payroll-impacting scenarios
• Review existing test assets and improve them for automation readiness
• Assist during SIT / UAT by supporting test execution, defect triage, and functional validation
• Clearly document test assumptions, dependencies, and validation logic
  
  

Required Experience & Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on functional experience with UKG Workforce Management (Kronos)
• Strong functional understanding of:
  
  

– Time & Attendance

– Scheduling

– Absence / Accruals

– Pay rules and labor calculations

• Proven experience creating functional test scripts for WFM systems
• Strong understanding of payroll impacts driven by WFM rules
• Ability to think in terms of test scenarios, edge cases, and negative testing
• Comfortable working with product and automation teams in test discovery and design
• Clear documentation and communication skills
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting test automation initiatives (even if not hands-on coding)
• Familiarity with UKG Pro or UKG Dimensions environments
• Prior experience in short-term, test-focused engagements
