Experience: 8+ years in UI/UX design with at least 5 years in a senior designer role. Work experience in large corporations or any govt. organization in the IT domain.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design strategy, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design for web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define intuitive and user-centric design solutions.
- Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design decisions.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility (WCAG), GIGW 3.0, and design system standards across products.
- Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging, and consistent interfaces.
- Guide and mentor a team of Jr.UI/UX designers, ensuring quality control and best practices in all design deliverables.
- Drive the adoption of design systems, reusable components, and responsive design frameworks.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the user experience.
- Creation of Social Media posts, newsletter, banners etc
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.
- Good knowledge of creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboard, and user flows etc.
- Knowledge about style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Keeping up to date with recent technological and software development landscape
- Desired Skills & Tools:
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools for UI/UX design.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better developer collaboration.
- Familiar with tools for testing and analytics such as Hotjar, Maze, or similar.
- Strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles. Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve UX issues
- Knowledge of style standards, including fonts, colors, and imagery, to maintain consistency in designs.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in design from a design institute, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Fine Arts/ Visual Design/ Visual Communication/ Design Computer Science, or a related field.
Desirable:
- Experience designing for government, large-scale enterprises, or citizen-facing platforms.
- Familiarity with agile development environments and collaboration tools like Click up, JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
- Diploma / Certification in Interaction Design & UI/UX
