UI/UX Developer (React.js / Angular) - Contract

Role Description

We are looking for a skilled UI/UX Developer with strong front-end development expertise to design and build responsive, user-centric web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modern JavaScript frameworks, UI design tools, and performance optimization, with a strong understanding of usability and user experience principles.

This is a contract onsite role based in Chennai, requiring close collaboration with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality and scalable user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and backend developers to design and implement user-centric web solutions
• Develop responsive and scalable web interfaces using React.js or Angular
• Convert wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into high-quality production-ready code
• Ensure design consistency, usability, and accessibility across platforms and devices
• Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability
• Integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs and backend services
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to enhance user experience
• Maintain code quality using version control (Git) and follow best practices
• Stay updated with modern UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies
• Work within Agile environments and support CI/CD-based development processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in front-end/UI development
• Strong proficiency in:
• React.js or Angular
• JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
• Experience with TypeScript, Redux/NgRx, React Hooks, or component-based architecture
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling JSON data
• Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
• Hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar UI/UX design tools
• Experience using Git/version control systems
• Exposure to unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Karma, or Jasmine (nice to have)
• Experience working in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines (preferred)
