ABOUT YOU:
When you join Tribute, you'll be part of a mission-driven team creating meaningful digital experiences for the funeral profession and the families they serve. We're looking for a strategic, detail-obsessed UI/UX Designer who thrives in collaboration and fast-paced environments. You'll develop intuitive, visually compelling solutions across our consumer facing products (focusing on eCommerce), ensuring seamless functionality for users on all sides. A strong communicator, listener and team player, you embrace feedback and believe great design comes from collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experimentation-Driven Design Execution
- Design high-impact, data-informed A/B test variants that drive measurable performance gains through focused, incremental optimization.
- Develop multiple concepts, clearly articulating rationale, trade-offs, and expected outcomes.
- Execute polished, test-ready designs and prototypes in Figma with clear developer handoff details.
- Improve existing experiences through structured experimentation rather than sweeping redesigns.
- Identify opportunities to incrementally align UI patterns with the design system as tests are deployed.
- Data-Informed Optimization & Insight Integration
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to inform strategy, roadmaps, and user journeys.
- Proactively identify UX friction, behavioral patterns, and optimization opportunities using FullStory, analytics platforms, and qualitative insights.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear hypotheses and test strategies.
- Balance business impact and performance goals with UX principles.
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system based on winning experiments and engagement patterns.
- AI-Accelerated Design Practice
- Work with product managers to integrate UX into product roadmaps.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate ideation, variant generation, and rapid iteration.
- Apply vibe-coding proficiencycomfortably collaborating with AI tools and lightweight front-end knowledge to rapidly prototype and refine ideas.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI and design tools that increase speed and effectiveness without compromising quality or consistency.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and CRO stakeholders in a highly collaborative, performance-driven environment.
- Navigate trade-offs, constraints, and concessions with grace while maintaining clarity of vision.
- Clearly articulate design rationale within the context of experimentation goals and business impact.
- Work closely with QA and engineering to get the details right.
- Contribute to a team culture rooted in iteration, respect for each other's crafts, shared ownership, and continuous learning.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio.
- Experience with eCommerce and/or data-driven design.
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- A strong technical aptitude. You don't have to code, but you must earn the respect of the people who do.
- Experience with Agile development methodologiesScrum and Kanban in particular
- Portfolio strongly recommended; HR will likely pass if they are not able to view portfolio with resume/ CV!
