Job Title: UI/UX Designer & Shopify Developer (E-commerce Specialist)

About the Role
We are looking for a rare hybrid talent, someone who is both a world-class UI/UX designer and a hands-on Shopify developer. This role demands a deep understanding of premium brand aesthetics, user journey optimization, and the technical skills to bring designs to life on Shopify without compromising speed, functionality, or CRO principles.
You will own the entire front-end user experience of our website, from concept to live build, ensuring every page communicates trust, beauty and performance.
Key Responsibilities
UI/UX Design
- Design high-conversion product pages, landing pages, and brand storytelling layouts for a premium D2C wellness brand.
- Build user flows and wireframes for desktop and mobile, with a focus on conversion, retention, and brand identity.
- Ensure designs follow accessibility and mobile-first best practices.
- Develop and maintain a consistent design system and component library for the website.
Shopify Development
- Customize and build Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement responsive layouts, animations, and interactions true to the UI/UX vision.
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps, custom functionalities, and third-party tools.
- Optimize site speed, image loading, and performance metrics for both desktop and mobile.
- Troubleshoot bugs, UI breaks, and checkout flow issues.
Conversion Optimization
- A/B test landing pages, product page designs, and CTAs to improve sales funnel performance.
- Implement data-driven design changes using Shopify analytics, Hotjar, or Google Analytics.
- Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to ensure all campaigns have pixel-perfect landing experiences.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven portfolio showing both UI/UX design excellence and Shopify development projects for D2C or premium e-commerce brands.
- Proficiency in Figma/Sketch for design and prototyping.
- Strong command over Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
- Understanding of CRO, e-commerce UX patterns, and storytelling design.
- Experience with Shopify Plus (bonus).
- Ability to integrate design with Shopify apps and APIs.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
