We are seeking a UI/UX Designer with hands-on experience designing interfaces for robotics systems using ROS / ROS2. The role focuses on creating intuitive, high-performance user interfaces for robot control, monitoring, visualization, and analytics dashboards. You will collaborate closely with robotics engineers to translate complex robot data into clear, usable interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Design UI/UX for ROS / ROS2-based robotics applications
- Create dashboards for robot monitoring, control, and visualization
- Design Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) for autonomous and semi-autonomous systems
- Collaborate with Robotics Engineers to understand robot workflows, sensors, and telemetry
- Convert ROS topics, services, and logs into user-friendly visual components
- Build wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
- Ensure usability, accessibility, and performance for real-time robotics systems
- Work closely with frontend developers to ensure design feasibility and accuracy
- Maintain and evolve a design system for robotics products
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX / Product / Visual Designer
- Experience designing complex dashboards or system UIs
- Working knowledge of ROS or ROS2 (robot data, workflows, or tooling)
- Strong understanding of UX for real-time systems
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools
- Experience with data visualization and interaction design
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams
- Strong portfolio demonstrating system-level UI/UX work
