Job Description

About Us

Asymmetric Labs is an AI-first, new-age ed-tech company focused on delivering measurable outcomes — improved ranks, job placements, and sustained career progression. We are currently in stealth mode.

Backed by Tier 1 US VCs

Founding team of serial entrepreneurs

Global team (Singapore / India / US)

Our team works on cutting-edge learning technologies that aim to redefine how learners achieve their goals.

The Role

We're looking for a freelance UI/UX Designer to own the visual and interaction design of our consumer products across mobile and web. You'll work closely with the Product Manager and engineering team to design new features, refine existing experiences, and evolve our design system.

What You'll Do

Design end-to-end flows and high-fidelity screens for our mobile apps (Android/iOS) and web platform.

Use AI-native design workflows — tools like Claude (Claude Design/artifacts), Figma AI, Midjourney, and prompt-driven prototyping — to move from idea to shippable design fast.

Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate based on user feedback and PM input.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in your design workflow (Claude / Claude Design, Figma AI, v0, Lovable, Midjourney, or similar) to prototype, generate, and iterate.
  • Experience with design-to-developer handoff — clean, developer-ready specs and close collaboration with engineers through design review.
  • Experience building and maintaining component-based design systems — components, tokens, and variants across mobile and web.
  • 1–4 years of product design experience.
  • Strong Figma skills — components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, and organized file hygiene.
  • A portfolio demonstrating clean visual design and thoughtful interaction design.
  • Solid grasp of platform conventions (Material Design, iOS HIG) and responsive web design.
  • Comfort working async with a lean team — you can take a loosely defined problem and drive it to a polished, buildable design.

Nice to Have

Experience in EdTech, content-heavy, or learning products.

Basic motion design or micro-interaction skills (Lottie, After Effects, Figma prototyping).

Illustration or visual/infographic design skills.

Location: Remote. Engagement: Freelance, flexible schedule.
