Role Overview
Codeyoung company seeks a hands-on Product Designer with experience shipping live web or mobile interfaces. This role involves owning end-to-end design from discovery to developer handoff, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to create intuitive, high-conversion user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full design lifecycle : discovery, user flows, wireframes, visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and launch iterations for web and/or mobile products.
- Translate product requirements and user problems into clear information architecture, flows, and pixel-perfect UI that works across devices and viewports.
- Create and maintain components, styles, and design systems in Figma to ensure consistency and speed across squads.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to scope solutions, validate feasibility, and ensure high-quality implementation of shipped features.
- design reviews, present work to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback grounded in data, experimentation, and user insights.
- Partner with analytics and research to set success metrics, interpret behavioural data, and iterate on designs post-launch.
- Advocate for user-centric thinking in roadmap discussions while balancing technical and business constraints.
Requirements
- 2- 5 years of experience as a Product / UI/UX Designer working on customer-facing web or mobile products that are live in production.
- Strong, up-to-date portfolio featuring shipped product work (case studies preferred) hosted on Behance, Dribbble, and/or a personal website, showing clear problem statements, process, and outcomes.
- Deep understanding of interaction design, usability, visual hierarchy, and responsive design patterns.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for components, auto-layout, design systems, and interactive prototypes; exposure to tools like FigJam, Miro, or similar is a plus.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional squads with product, engineering, and marketing, ideally in an agile or fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using storytelling and data to influence decisions.
- Comfortable working with constraints (technical, business, timelines) and making pragmatic trade-offs without compromising core user experience.
Nice To Have
- Experience designing or contributing to scalable multi-brand or multi-platform design systems.
- Basic understanding of front-end capabilities and constraints (HTML/CSS, component frameworks) to ensure smoother handoffs.
- Prior experience in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or consumer apps with high traffic and complex workflows.
- Exposure to A/B testing, experimentation platforms, and working with product analytics tools (e.g., GA, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
