Job Title: UI/UX Designer

At FAM Nutrigenomics, we're building a first-of-its-kind ecosystem that combines organic groceries, personalized nutrition, and intelligent health technology for Indian families. Our products span a consumer mobile app, a clinical portal, and an operations portalso design is at the heart of everything we do.
We're looking for a UI/UX Designer who can translate complex health and nutrition journeys into simple, intuitive, and beautiful digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user experiences for:
- FAM mobile app (Android & iOS)
- FAM Nutrigenomics web portal
- FAM Gene (clinical/genetics) portal
- Create wireframes, user flows, low/high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes (primarily in Figma)
- Work closely with product, tech, and operations teams to convert requirements into clear, usable interfaces
- Develop and maintain a consistent design system (components, typography, spacing, grids, color usage, etc.)
- Conduct basic user research & usability checks (where possible) and iterate on feedback
- Prepare developer-ready design specs and support smooth handoff to the development team
- Ensure mobile-first, responsive design across devices and screen sizes
- Simplify complex health/nutrition data into clean, understandable dashboards and flows
- Document screens, states, and user flows in an organized manner for reference and version control
Requirements
- 25 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer / Product Designer
- Strong hands-on experience with Figma (must) components, auto-layout, prototyping, variants
- Solid understanding of mobile app design (iOS & Android) and responsive web design
- Strong portfolio showcasing clean UI, good UX thinking, and real shipped products or detailed case studies
- Ability to understand user journeys, pain points, and translate them into intuitive interfaces
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, tech, operations, nutritionists)
- Detail-oriented, structured, and able to balance speed with design quality
- Good communication skills in English; Tamil is an added advantage
Nice to Have
- Experience working in health-tech, nutrigenomics, wellness, or e-commerce
- Familiarity with design systems, atomic design, and component libraries
- Basic understanding of front-end capabilities (React / Flutter / web constraints not for coding, but for practical UI decisions)
- Experience creating micro-interactions, onboarding flows, and dashboard experiences

- Team: Directly working with product lead, tech team, and founder's office
