About The Role
We need a product designer who starts with user research and ends with dev-ready Figma files — not someone who opens Dribbble before opening a user interview transcript. You will design the flows, screens, and systems that our engineering team ships every Friday. Every product we build is a startup MVP, which means every screen you design is the one the first 10,000 users actually touch.
Responsibilities
- Lead user research, interviews, and competitive teardowns during the discovery phase of each engagement
- Create user flows, wireframes, and clickable prototypes in Figma before any visual design begins
- Design high-fidelity screens using a token-based design system that engineers can consume directly
- Participate in weekly client demos and incorporate founder feedback into design iterations
- Build and maintain reusable component libraries in Figma with proper auto-layout and variants
- Work closely with frontend developers to ensure pixel-accurate implementation
- Conduct usability testing on staging builds and document findings for the team
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of professional experience designing digital products (web or mobile)
- Expert-level Figma skills — auto-layout, variants, component properties, prototyping
- Demonstrated ability to conduct user research and translate findings into design decisions
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG AA), and mobile-first patterns
- Portfolio showing end-to-end product design work with clear before/after and process narrative
- Comfortable working in fast-paced sprint cycles with weekly deliverables
- Experience with design tokens, Storybook handoff, or design-to-code workflows is a plus
