Job Description

We're looking for a UI/UX Design Intern who enjoys turning ideas into clean, thoughtful and easy-to-use digital experiences.

At Rhytmelo, you'll work on real client and in-house projects across websites, eCommerce stores, SaaS products and mobile applications. This isn't an internship where you'll only be asked to make social media graphics. You'll get hands-on experience with how digital products are actually planned, designed, tested and improved.

You'll work closely with our design and development team and get the opportunity to see your designs move from an idea to a working product.

What you'll work on
  • Create wireframes, user flows and high-fidelity UI designs for websites and digital products
  • Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Work on real-world website, eCommerce, SaaS and application projects
  • Convert ideas, requirements and feedback into practical design solutions
  • Create and maintain reusable components and design systems
  • Improve existing interfaces based on usability, visual hierarchy and user behaviour
  • Work with developers to make sure designs are implemented accurately
  • Review live websites and identify UX and UI improvements
  • Participate in design discussions, reviews and iterations
  • Explore AI-assisted design and emerging tools to improve the design process
What we're looking for
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
  • Comfortable working with Figma
  • Good understanding of typography, spacing, layout, colour and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to create clean and modern interfaces
  • Understanding of user flows and basic UX thinking
  • Attention to detail and willingness to iterate on your work
  • Ability to take feedback positively and improve your designs
  • Good communication and ability to work independently in a remote environment

A portfolio is preferred, even if it contains student, personal or self-initiated projects.

Nice to have
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Experience designing websites or eCommerce stores
  • Familiarity with design systems and reusable components
  • Experience with tools such as Framer, Webflow or similar
  • Interest in SaaS, AI products or digital products
What you'll get
  • Paid internship
  • Real client and product design experience
  • Hands-on experience working with developers
  • Exposure to websites, eCommerce, SaaS and mobile products
  • Regular design feedback and mentorship
  • Opportunity to build a stronger professional portfolio
  • Flexible remote working environment
  • Opportunity for a full-time role based on performance

Who would enjoy this role

This role is a good fit if you're someone who doesn't just want to make things look good, but wants to understand why something should look and work a certain way.

You should be curious, willing to experiment, comfortable asking questions, and excited to work on real products rather than just practice projects.

If you have a portfolio that you're proud of, we'd love to see it.
