UI Lead - React.js (Contract)

Location: Katy, Houston, TX (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Duration: 6-month contract (with potential to extend)

Overview:

We are now hiring a UI Lead to oversee the front-end development efforts of a high-impact application for a well-established energy software company based in Katy, Houston. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience with React.js and a track record of delivering high-quality user interfaces in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a small front-end team (React.js) in developing scalable, maintainable UI components.
Set UI architecture direction and ensure adherence to design and coding standards.
Collaborate closely with backend developers, UX designers, and stakeholders.
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and manage technical delivery timelines.
Work hands-on as needed to resolve technical challenges and accelerate delivery.

Required Skills:

8+ years of overall front-end development experience.
3+ years leading teams using React.js (with strong command of hooks, context API, and state management).
Strong experience integrating with REST APIs.
Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and component libraries.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
