Job Description

The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building and evolving the core cloud platform capabilities will enable a new SaaS platform to integrate with existing bank platforms. It will enable data teams to deliver securely, reliably and at scale. The role combines deep hands on engineering with senior technical judgement, operating within established enterprise architecture and security guardrails.

This is a senior hands-on execution and enablement role, not a principal or enterprise architect position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Frontend/UI development:

Responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly web applications using the React.js library and the Next.js framework. Build reusable components by creating efficient, modular, and maintainable React components and front-end libraries where possible.

Collaboration:

Work with designers to translate wireframes, mockups, and Figma designs into code, and with backend engineers to integrate with APIs and other components.

Code management:

Write, test, and debug code to ensure applications are functional, efficient, and free of errors. This includes writing clean, scalable, and responsive front-end code.

Performance optimization:

Analyze and improve the performance of applications to ensure they are fast and responsive.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and fix bugs and other issues in the codebase to improve overall functionality.

Best practices:

Implement and maintain best practices for accessibility, security, and performance.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Designing experience with Figma is a must-have ability to create user-friendly digital interfaces, wireframes, and prototypes.

2. Next.js and React.js: Strong knowledge of the React library, Next.js framework, and their ecosystem.

3. MUI components: Using pre-built or customized MUI components to create engaging and functional user interfaces.

4. Version control: Proficiency with version control systems like GIT is desirable.

5. Build tools: Familiarity with front-end build tools like Visual Studio and package managers like NPM is preferred.

6. Testing: Experience with testing frameworks and knowledge of best practices is ideal.
