Roles & Responsibilities:
- Visual Design: Create visually appealing and coherent designs for digital products, including layouts, colour schemes, typography, icons, and graphics
- User-Centered Design: Ensure that the user interface is intuitive and user-friendly by conducting user research and applying design principles to create a positive user experience
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design ideas, interactions, and user flows
- Responsive Design: Design user interfaces that are responsive and adaptable to various screen sizes and devices to provide a consistent experience
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX Designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and provide design solutions
- Visual Consistency: Maintain visual consistency across the entire product to create a cohesive and branded experience for users
- User Feedback: Incorporate user feedback and usability testing results into design improvements to enhance the products user interface
- Tools and Software: Proficiently use design software such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or other relevant tools to create and share design assets
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design skills
This Role Requires:
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI design projects and demonstrating a deep understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and user-centered design
- Proficiency in design software and tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic front-end development principles for effective collaboration with developers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams and interpret feedback effectively
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating pixel-perfect, visually appealing designs
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about user interactions and design choices
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines
Optional Qualifications:
- Experience with motion design or animation for enhancing user interface interactions added advantage
- Familiarity with user testing and research methodologies to inform design decisions added advantage.
- Understanding of accessibility and best practices for creating inclusive user interfaces added advantage
