Roles & Responsibilities

A UI Designer is responsible for designing the visual elements and user interfaces of digital products to enhance user experience, usability, and aesthetics. They collaborate closely with UX (User Experience) Designers and developers to create cohesive and engaging user interfaces.

• Visual Design: Create visually appealing and coherent designs for digital products, including layouts, color schemes, typography, icons, and graphics
• User-Centered Design: Ensure that the user interface is intuitive and user-friendly by conducting user research and applying design principles to create a positive user experience
• Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design ideas, interactions, and user flows
• Responsive Design: Design user interfaces that are responsive and adaptable to various screen sizes and devices to provide a consistent experience
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX Designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and provide design solutions
• Visual Consistency: Maintain visual consistency across the entire product to create a cohesive and branded experience for users

This Role Requires:

Primary Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI design projects and demonstrating a deep understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and user-centered design
• Proficiency in design software and tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic front-end development principles for effective collaboration with developers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams and interpret feedback effectively
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating pixel-perfect, visually appealing designs

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with motion design or animation for enhancing user interface interactions added advantage.
• Familiarity with user testing and research methodologies to inform design decisions added advantage.
• Understanding of accessibility and best practices for creating inclusive user interfaces added advantage.
