We are looking for a UI Architect with deep expertise in React/NextJs to design, standardize, and evolve the user interface architecture for large-scale web applications. The role focuses on defining UI patterns, architectural standards, and best practices to ensure scalability, performance, security, and consistency across React applications developed by multiple teams.
This role operates at an architectural level while remaining hands-on enough to guide teams through practical implementation.
Key responsibilities
UI Architecture & Design
- Define and own the overall UI architecture for React-based applications.
- Establish standards for application structure, component design, state management, and routing.
- Ensure clear separation of concerns and maintainable UI codebases.
React Standards & Best Practices
- Define best practices for React (18+) and TypeScript usage.
- Standardize patterns for hooks, context, error handling, and reusable components.
- Prevent architectural drift across teams through reviews and guidance.
Performance & Scalability
- Drive UI performance optimizations such as code splitting, lazy loading, and caching.
- Ensure applications scale efficiently with growing features and users.
- Monitor and improve frontend performance metrics.
UX Consistency & Accessibility
- Ensure consistent UX across applications through shared UI guidelines.
- Enforce accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
- Collaborate with UX/design teams to align architecture with design systems.
- Architect and implement a shared component library to promote reusability and consistency across applications.
- Define standards for component design, documentation, and versioning within the library.
Tooling & Engineering Practices
- Define standards for build tooling, testing, and CI/CD for React applications.
- Promote clean coding practices, linting, and automated testing.
- Guide teams on adopting modern frontend tooling.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with engineering, design, and product teams.
- Mentor frontend developers and review architectural decisions.
- Act as a technical authority for UI-related decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate B.E/B.Tech - IT/CS with above 60% aggregate in SSC, HSC & Degree
Requirements
Core Skills
- 812+ years of experience in UI / frontend development.
- Strong expertise in React (18+) and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of component-driven UI design.
- Strong knowledge of state management approaches (Context, Redux, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering (SSR), client-side rendering (CSR) and API routes.
Architecture & Engineering
- Experience defining UI architecture for large or complex React/NextJs applications.
- Strong understanding of frontend design principles and patterns.
- Ability to balance flexibility with standardization across teams.
