Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain Ubuntu-based platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the system.
- Create and manage software packages using standard packaging tools such as dpkg and apt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy Ubuntu solutions to meet technical requirements.
- Automate repetitive tasks through scripting and configuration management tools.
- Conduct system performance analysis and provide recommendations for enhancements.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Ubuntu platforms and applications.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
Skills Required
- Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and management.
- Proficiency in package management and software deployment processes.
- Experience with shell scripting and automation tools (e. g. , Ansible, Puppet).
- Good understanding of networking, system security, and performance tuning principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different stakeholders.
Requirement & Qualification
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Ubuntu platforms.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e. g. , LPIC, Ubuntu Professional) are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to participate in on-call support and after-hours work as needed.
