We are seeking a skilled UAV System Engineer to design, integrate, test, and optimize Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems. The role involves working across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination between mechanical, electronics, and software components of drone platforms.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of system architecture, flight control systems, sensors, communication protocols, and testing methodologies to ensure reliable and high-performance UAV operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and define overall UAV system architecture
- Select appropriate flight controllers, sensors, payloads, propulsion systems, and communication modules
- Ensure system-level compatibility and performance optimization
- Define system requirements and technical specifications
- Integrate hardware and software components of UAV
- Configure and calibrate flight controllers (Pixhawk, PX4, Ardupilot)
- Ensure proper communication between subsystems such as GPS, IMU, ESC, telemetry, cameras
- Support payload integration such as inspection sensors or imaging devices
- Plan and conduct ground tests and flight tests
- Develop test procedures and validation criteria
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues
- Maintain testing documentation and logs
- Analyze UAV performance parameters such as Flight stability, Power consumption, Payload efficiency, Navigation accuracy
- Recommend improvements for system reliability and efficiency
- Prepare technical documentation including System architecture diagrams, Integration guidelines, SOPs, Test reports, Troubleshooting manuals
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Work Closely with Cross function teams.
Experience/Skills:
- Experience working on multi-rotor or fixed-wing UAV
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in UAV, robotics, aerospace, or embedded systems
- Experience in drone development or research projects preferred
- Strong understanding of UAV architecture and drone subsystem
- Knowledge of flight controllers (Pixhawk, PX4, Ardupilot)
- Understanding of electronics, sensors, and embedded systems
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN
- Knowledge of control systems and flight dynamics basics
- Experience in system integration and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of Python / C++ / MATLAB (preferred)
