Job Description

Hiring across Andhra Pradesh

About Airbound

Our mission is making roads optional. Where goods move as freely as information moves today.

Today drone delivery costs ₹100/km. We're bringing that down to 10 paise. That's not an upgrade. It's a complete rebuild from scratch, using the world's first blended-wing-body VTOL aircraft built from carbon fiber.

We need people who believe in the impossible and want to do the work to get there.

About Flight Ops

Operations is the backbone of Airbound. We plan and run every flight, own the data that comes out of it, and use that data to make the next flight better.

We work across engineering, logistics, and client teams. Decisions are guided by flight logs and cost metrics, not gut instinct. The question we ask every day: how do we deliver better, faster, and cheaper

Where a UAV PILOT comes into the picture

At Airbound, a UAV Pilot plays a critical role in executing and scaling drone delivery missions. As part of the core flight operations team, this individual will directly operate our indigenous hybrid VTOL UAVs, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable transport of critical payloads across our logistics networks.

And these are all the exciting things our UAV PILOT gets to work on

  • Operate Airbound's indigenous fleet of hybrid VTOL UAVs as per SOPs in day-to-day delivery missions and test flights
  • Conduct detailed pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks
  • Execute missions in compliance with DGCA regulations, Airbound's internal flight safety protocols, and site-specific restrictions
  • Coordinate with ground teams, external partners, and ATC authorities where applicable
  • Maintain accurate flight logs, incident reports, and aircraft maintenance schedules
  • Monitor weather, assist in flight planning
  • Perform basic field troubleshooting of UAVs and GCS (ground control stations)
  • Assist in training and mentoring new drone pilots as the program scales
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of flight SOPs and operational workflows
  • Support aircraft integration and customer demos as needed
