About the Role
As anOperations Manager, you'll be the bridge between groundbreaking drone technology and real-world missions. You will lead demonstrations for clients, manage internal flight tests and operations, and build a high-performance operations team. This role demands both technical expertise and operational leadership, ensuring that every flight, whether for testing or demonstration, runs seamlessly and delivers the desired outcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a small operations team, ensuring alignment with mission goals, andstepping in hands-on for flying, integration, and troubleshooting when required.
- Management: Create and maintain SOPs, manuals, and operational playbooks for demonstrations as well as internal testings.Manage structure and resources for field demos, trials and trainings.
- Demonstrations: Plan and execute impactful demos tailored to user needs.
- Internal Testing: Oversee integration and testing campaigns, working closely with engineering teams to refine features and improve reliability.
- Operations Tracking: Maintain detailed logs of flights, issues, and resolutions; channel insights to product and development teams.
- Customer Interaction: Act as the operational face of Unmannd. Own client communication during demos, resolve queries, and put up inspiring fronts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience inUAV/drone operationswith hands-on flight testing expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to bothlead a teamandpersonally execute missionswhen needed.
- Experience with operations tracking, issue resolution, and writing SOPs/manuals.
- Excellent organizational ability - able to juggle demos, internal testing, and commercial ops simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Priorcustomer-facing experiencewith technology demonstrations is a strong plus.
