Role Description
We are seeking a motivated individual for an on-site full-time role as an Assembly Engineer (UAV/ Drone) at our Gurugram facility. The role involves the assembly of mechanical systems, integration of electronic components, collaboration on prototyping activities, and supporting overall product development processes. You will be solving challenging problems and developing innovative solutions that find application across many industries. The requirement is immediate, and we are looking for candidates who are passionate about UAS/Drones and aerospace systems in general.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in drone assembly (frame integration, motors, ESC, flight controller, GPS, power module, wiring harness).
- Perform soldering, connector crimping, and cable routing as per electrical and mechanical design standards.
- Support BLDC motor testing, propeller balancing, and thrust stand performance validation.
- Assist in battery installation, charging, storage handling, and health monitoring (voltage, IR, cycle count).
- Conduct pre-flight and post-assembly inspection using standardised QC checklists.
- Support firmware flashing and basic flight controller configuration (PID setup, calibration, sensor checks).
- Maintain quality control (QC) reports and test data in Excel sheets.
- Identify and report faulty/damaged components during assembly and testing.
- Assist in drone repair and servicing (motor replacement, ESC diagnostics, arm replacement, wiring repair).
- Support production documentation and inventory tracking.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related field
- Final year students or recent graduates preferred
- Passion for UAVs and drone technology
- Basic knowledge of electronics and UAV components
- Understanding of BLDC motors, ESCs, LiPo batteries, and power distribution systems
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Basic Excel knowledge for reporting and documentation
- Good mechanical assembly and hand tool handling skills
- Knowledge of flight controllers (Pixhawk/ Ardupilot/ Betaflight) is a plus
- Understanding of safety procedures for LiPo batteries
