Tutoring Operations Manager (IB / IGCSE / A-Level)

Role Overview
We are looking for a high-ownership, execution-driven Tutoring Operations Manager to lead and scale our IB, IGCSE, and A-Level tutoring vertical. This role sits at the intersection of academic quality, tutor management, student experience, and operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for ensuring that every student receives a high-quality, consistent, and outcome-driven tutoring experience, while building systems that allow us to scale from tens to hundreds (and eventually thousands) of students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tutor Management & Quality Control
- Recruit, onboard, and train tutors across IB, IGCSE, and A-Level curricula
- Build subject-wise tutor pipelines (Math, Sciences, Economics, etc.)
- Monitor tutor performance through:
- Student feedback
- Session recordings (where applicable)
- Academic outcomes (grades, improvements)
- Conduct regular tutor reviews and remove underperformers
- Create a tiered tutor system (e.g., Supertutors, Mastertutors)
2. Student Experience & Delivery
- Ensure seamless scheduling and delivery of tutoring sessions
- Match students with the right tutor based on level, goals, and personality fit
- Track student progress and flag risks proactively
- Handle escalations from parents/students with speed and clarity
- Build a premium, high-touch experience for high-value clients
3. Academic Structuring & Curriculum Alignment
- Ensure tutoring aligns with:
- IB (MYP/DP)
- IGCSE
- AS/A Levels
- Standardize lesson planning frameworks and session structures
- Create internal academic resources:
- Topic trackers
- Revision plans
- Exam strategies
4. Operations & Systems
- Build and optimize systems for:
- Scheduling
- Tutor allocation
- Session tracking
- Feedback collection
- Work with tech team to improve:
- Dashboards
- Automation (reminders, reports, etc.)
- Maintain clean operational data (attendance, hours, tutor utilization)
5. Performance & Metrics Ownership
Own key business metrics such as:
- Student retention rates
- Tutor utilization rates
- Session completion rates
- Student satisfaction (NPS/feedback)
- Revenue per student
6. Coordination with Sales & Marketing
- Align with sales team on student expectations and onboarding
- Provide feedback on lead quality and student requirements
- Support webinars / academic sessions as needed
- Help convert trial classes into long-term enrollments
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
- 3–6 years in:
- EdTech operations
- Tutoring management
- Academic program management
- Experience with IB / IGCSE / A-Level systems is highly preferred
