Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and normalize instrumentation scope submissions from site disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Review and challenge instrumentation TAR scope submissions.
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary structured scope challenge sessions with ISDAs and site teams.
  • Assess reliability, functional safety, compliance, and operational risks of scope inclusion/deferral.
  • Evaluate mitigated vs. unmitigated do nothing risk and alternate mitigation measures.
  • Validate cost-benefit and criticality of TAR instrument scope.
  • Review proof test records, PM history, bad actor lists, SIL/SIS requirements, failure reports, and maintenance data.
  • Support eSCR / scope change governance and justification reviews.
  • Prepare recommendation packs and decision-ready governance inputs.
  • Support Peer Review 2 inputs and self-verification checklist preparation.
  • Ensure inclusion of scope justification, contingency requirements, material identification, and CBRA factors.
  • Maintain traceable records of risk assessments, challenge logs, and change logs.
  • Prepare closeout reports, lessons learned, KPI dashboards, and CI recommendations.
  • Support document control and repository management.
  • Participate in RCA / corrective action reporting for rework cases

Work Experience

Work Experience:

8–10 years in oil & gas/refinery / petrochemical instrumentation, control systems, TAR, or reliability engineering.

Strong understanding of SIL / functional safety/ instrument reliability.

Experience With SAP / ALIM / CMMS Systems Preferred

Key Competencies

Functional safety awareness, instrumentation reliability, risk-based assessment, TAR optimization, facilitation, and analytical thinking
