Position Summary
The Trustee Officer will support the Trustee Company in discharging its oversight, monitoring and review responsibilities over the AMC and mutual fund schemes. The role is intended to be a control and governance position rather than an AMC execution role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Trustee Company in monitoring that the AMC conducts scheme transactions in accordance with the Regulations, trust deed and scheme objectives.
- Coordinate periodic review packs covering compliance, operations, investment restrictions, risk management, investor complaints, service providers, valuation/NAV issues, and audit findings.
- Assist in preparation of Trustee meeting agenda papers, action trackers, deficiency notes and follow-up items.
- Track half-yearly trustee reporting requirements, certifications, and review materials.
- Support trustee review of conflicts of interest, service contracts, broker empanelment policy, internal audit findings, compliance certificates and key service-provider arrangements.
- Monitor rectification status of deficiencies communicated to the AMC.
- Assist trustees in discharging general and specific due diligence, including review of internal audit reports, compliance certificates, investor complaint trends, and critical service-provider oversight.
- Maintain orderly trustee documentation and inspection-ready records.
Preferred Profile
- CS /CA/ LLB / equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in finance and financial service related field.
- Strong drafting, review and escalation discipline.
