About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Packet Core Engineer with hands-on expertise in end-to-end Packet Core solutions for 4G and 5G networks. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of call flows, 5G network functions, and modern telecom technologies, along with prior experience working as a solution integrator.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge telecom technologies, integrating and validating complex network functions in live or lab environments.
Key Responsibilities
Packet Core & Telecom Expertise :
- Design, deploy, and support end-to-end Packet Core solutions for 4G and 5G networks.
- Understand and validate 4G and 5G call flows, including signaling, mobility, and service workflows.
- Apply knowledge of latest telecom technologies, including :
- URSP (User Route Selection Policy)
- PRA (Policy and Routing Architecture)
- Location Services
- EPS fallback
- VoNR (Voice over New Radio)
5G Network Functions (NF)
Work with key 5G NFs including :
- AMF (Access and Mobility Function)
- SMF (Session Management Function)
- UPF (User Plane Function)
- PCF (Policy Control Function, including CCPC)
- NRF (Network Repository Function)
- Validate interworking between NFs and overall 5G core network performance.
Solution Integration & Implementation
- Work as a solution integrator, managing deployment, configuration, and testing of core network functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Packet Core solutions with RAN, transport, and service layers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in lab or field environments.
- Document integration procedures, network configurations, and best practices for operational use.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-10 years of experience in Packet Core engineering, 4G/5G networks, and core network integration.
- Strong understanding of 4G/5G call flows, mobility, and policy control mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with 5G Network Functions : AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF (CCPC), NRF.
- Prior experience working as a solution integrator on complex telecom networks.
- Knowledge of modern telecom technologies such as URSP, PRA, Location Services, EPS fallback, VoNR.
- Ability to analyze network behavior, troubleshoot issues, and validate solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
