As a Liquidity AVPin our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be instrumental in managing the liquidity, balance sheet, and capital positions of our Investment Banking businesses. In this role, you will lead a team and engage with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership and global teams, to develop and implement strategies that enhance our risk management capabilities. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Analysts and Associates by setting objectives, managing day-to-day execution, providing coaching, and ensuring high-quality and timely delivery across reporting and analysis deliverables.
- Own and oversee production of liquidity risk reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, including Balance Sheet, JPM Internal Stress and 6G/LCR reports, focusing on key drivers of period-over-period movements and ensuring clear, accurate variance commentary.
- Review and deliver liquidity metrics packages for CIB senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring all reporting is accurate, timely, well-controlled, and management-ready.
- Apply deep product and regulatory expertise (deposits, commitments, derivatives, secured funding Basel III LCR/NSFR) to evaluate balance sheet and liquidity impacts, identify emerging themes, and support business decision-making.
- Coordinate with global teams to create consistent sub-Line of Business commentary and analysis, ensuring narratives are aligned, comprehensive, and reflective of underlying drivers.
- Partner with FALMA, CTMO, Controllers, Corporate Treasury, and Liquidity Risk Oversight to ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting, maintaining strong data integrity, controls, and documentation standards.
- Engage with senior CIB Treasury and business leadership to gather, understand, and challenge information related to balance sheet and liquidity implications, escalating key issues and synthesizing conclusions.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying, prioritizing, and executing process optimization, rationalization, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operational risk, and enhance insight.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field, with 6 years of relevant experience in Liquidity Risk and Balance Sheet management/reporting.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, including delegation, coaching, review/quality control, and managing delivery against deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems comfort working with large datasets and translating outputs into clear insights and executive-level messages.
- Strong understanding of finance and financial markets, including On and Off balance sheet products, particularly those related to market business such as prime brokerage and secured funding.
- Solid working knowledge of liquidity risk frameworks and regulations, including Basel III and key ratios/metrics such as LCR/NSFR, and the ability to interpret their business implications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to influence and partner effectively across functions and geographies.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to take ownership, prioritize, and deliver multiple workstreams under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in producing and/or overseeing key liquidity reporting (e.g., internal stress, LCR/NSFR, liquidity dashboards) with strong controls and governance.
- Experience driving automation and analytics enhancements using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or Python.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet management levers and FTP-style concepts, and how business activity translates into liquidity usage and risk.
- A proactive approach to staying informed about regulatory developments and market changes impacting CIB Treasury, and translating them into actionable priorities for the team.
