Qualifications
- At least 10 years of treasury or corporate finance experience, with Senior Manager-level or emerging/first-time Director-level experience.
- Proven end-to-end treasury ownership, including cash forecasting, liquidity management, credit facilities, debt and lender management, and treasury operations.
- Strong experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments, including managing FX exposure and currency-related risks.
- Demonstrated experience managing credit facility and lender relationships, including covenant compliance, lender reporting, and refinancing discussions.
- Proven experience with treasury investments and yield optimization, including actively managing returns on surplus cash.
- Experience in private equity-backed or leveraged businesses preferred.
- Experience in BPO, staffing, or EOR business models strongly preferred, particularly environments with significant payroll-float requirements.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills; experience with treasury management systems (TMS) and bank portals is an advantage.
- Strong partnership with Accounting or Controllership, including accurate reconciliation of treasury and accounting cash balances.
- CTP, CA, or MBA qualification preferred but not required.
- Flexibility to meet with the Global CFO during visits to India.
Responsibilities
Cash Flow Forecasting and Liquidity Management
- Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and a 12-month liquidity view, incorporating AR/AP timing, payroll funding cycles, and capital expenditure and financing flows
- Reconcile forecasted cash against actual cash weekly and track forecast accuracy as a hard KPI using variance percentage, rather than a directional estimate
- Maintain a consolidated daily cash position across all Emapta entities, currencies, and bank accounts
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure where billing and payroll currencies do not match and recommend hedging when the mismatch is material
Loan and Debt Facility Management
- Own lender relationships end to end, including drawdown and repayment requests, interest calculations, and covenant compliance tracking against credit agreements
- Prepare and submit lender compliance certificates and covenant reporting packages on schedule, flagging headroom or breach risks to the CFO well in advance
- Drive refinancing, facility upsizing, or incremental debt capacity analyses and provide the CFO with recommendations based on the current rate cycle, not assumptions from the previous cycle
- Maintain the debt schedule, including drawdowns, amortization, interest, and maturities, as the single source of truth supporting board and sponsor reporting
Treasury Investment and Yield Optimization
- Actively invest surplus operating cash within board-approved risk and liquidity parameters using money market funds, short-term deposits, or equivalent instruments so idle cash does not sit at zero yield
- Establish and maintain a treasury investment policy covering approved instruments, counterparty limits, tenor limits, and minimum liquidity buffers
- Publish a monthly treasury scorecard covering cash by category-operating, investable, and restricted-blended yield achieved against benchmarks, and interest income captured versus potential income
- Benchmark banking relationships and facility pricing periodically to confirm Emapta is not overpaying for credit or receiving below-market returns on deposits
Accounting Partnership
- Work daily with the Accounting team on bank reconciliations, cash application timing, and intercompany funding flows, recognizing that forecast accuracy depends on reliable underlying cash data
- Align the treasury cash position with the general ledger-owned bank reconciliation on a defined cadence, ensuring Treasury and Accounting report one consistent cash balance
- Coordinate intercompany loans and funding arrangements with Accounting and Tax to keep transfer pricing and intercompany interest audit-ready and covenant-compliant
Corporate Finance and Governance Support
- Provide liquidity and debt inputs for the rolling forecast and board and sponsor reporting packages owned by the Director, FP&A
- Own covenant reporting, lender due diligence, and related data requests as the accountable Director, rather than as a support function
- Maintain bank signatory, wire approval, and treasury control documentation, with clear segregation of duties between execution by Treasury and recording by Accounting
Treasury Function Development - Phase 2
- Design the treasury operating model-including policies, controls, and reporting cadence-before adding headcount
- Hire and lead a small treasury team once volume justifies additional resources beyond what automation and process design can absorb
- Establish India as Emapta's treasury operating hub for cross-border cash management as the entity footprint grows
