Purpose of the role
General Mills is seeking a Treasury Analyst based out of our Mumbai, India office to be part of our Global Treasury organization. The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for supporting a variety of Treasury Operations processes, Reporting & act as a Treasury Subject Matter Expert on inter-disciplinary projects for the Global Treasury Organization. The scope will be focused primarily on Indian Treasury Operations, as well as supporting our Swiss Treasury Center Operations.
As part of the General Mills Finance team, will have the opportunity to lead and influence the business of one of the world's most recognized FMCG companies, while working with some of the world's most popular brands. This is an exciting early career opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership and quick learning capabilities. You will gain functional experience in conducting Treasury processes, expertise with financial systems including SAP & 360T, as well as broader knowledge of corporate finance.
Key Accountabilities
70% of Time: Treasury Operations - Cash Management
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes globally
Maintaining daily bank positions & reporting - ensures day-to-day cash visibility
Bank account management: opening/closing, portal linking, signatory management, periodic reviews, KYC updates/renewals, safeguarding cheques - manages full account lifecycle and governance
Fixed Deposits
Deliver on established service level targets and metrics
Planning and execution of business continuity
Compliance & Regulatory activities
Trade Finance: Bank Guarantees & Letters of Credit - supports cross-border trade
Borrowing & Funding: loan rollovers, repayments, interest monitoring
Compliance: UFCE, Annexure I & III, FEMA, LEI renewals - ensures regulatory adherence
Capital & Regulatory Support: FEMA/RBI approvals, IDPMS/ORM trackers - handles regulatory topics
MTT Margin Fund Tracking - monitoring & release with export team - manages intercompany cash
Support to Export Team - collaboration and operational support
EEFC Conversion - supports foreign currency operations
Payments
TDS payment & Vendor Payment - GMF - statutory and vendor payments
GIC payments - operational payment execution
Ensure Strong Controls and System Integrity
Comply with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Investigate any attempted fraud
Remediate payment issues
Respond to internal and external audit requests
20% of Time: Supportinternal/external business partners
Partner with global and regional teams in the US, Asia and Latin America on topics such as dividends, financing, capital increase/decrease and M&A activities
Partner with Accounting, Sourcing and Supply Chain teams on regional initiatives
10% of Time: Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Lead efforts to understand what's working, what isn't and lead plans to adjust approach on One Team culture
Minimum Qualification
Full Time graduation from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Business (Mandatory)
Professional Certification: CA, ICWA, MBA
2+ years of related experience in Corporate Treasury, ideally with Reporting, FX and Treasury Back Office experience
Preferred Qualification
Master's degree

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
Sound understanding of corporate finance and banking products
Strong analytical skills and proven record of data analysis using tools such as SAP, Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft Excel
Previous experience with Treasury Management systems, such as SAP Treasury module, will be considered as an advantage
Strong written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated and quick learner
Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize in alignment with business goals
Team player, able to collaborate in a dynamic environment with colleagues from diverse backgrounds in multiple time zones
Fluency in English
