Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Sales Consultant role based in Chennai. The Travel Sales Consultant is responsible for engaging with prospective and existing customers, understanding their travel needs, and recommending suitable domestic and international tour packages and services. Daily tasks include preparing customized itineraries, handling reservations for hotels, flights, and transport, coordinating visa and other travel documentation, and ensuring accurate travel arrangements. The role involves responding to inquiries, providing timely customer support, managing booking changes or cancellations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of destinations, pricing, and promotions. The consultant collaborates with internal teams and suppliers to secure bookings, optimize customer satisfaction, and support sales targets.
Qualifications
- Strong travel consulting skills, including the ability to understand traveler preferences and recommend appropriate tour packages and services.
- Experience with travel management and travel arrangements, such as planning itineraries, coordinating transportation, and organizing accommodations.
- Proficient in customer service and reservations, with the ability to handle inquiries, bookings, modifications, and cancellations accurately.
- Knowledge of domestic and international destinations, visa processes, and basic travel regulations is highly beneficial.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort working with booking systems and standard office software.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to a sales-driven environment.
- Previous experience in travel, hospitality, or tourism and a relevant diploma or degree are an advantage.
