Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Sales Consultant role based in Kochi. The Travel Sales Consultant will handle inbound and outbound travel inquiries, understand client preferences, and propose tailored travel packages and itineraries. The role includes preparing quotations, managing reservations and ticketing, coordinating with airlines, hotels, and other suppliers, and ensuring accurate and timely confirmations. The consultant will proactively follow up with leads, convert inquiries into sales, and meet defined revenue and performance targets. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of destinations, travel regulations, and promotions, providing high-quality customer service and post-sales support, and accurately updating CRM and booking systems. Collaboration with the wider sales and customer support teams to improve processes and enhance the customer experience is also expected.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Travel Consulting and Travel Management to understand client needs and design suitable travel solutions.
  • Practical experience handling Travel Arrangements and Reservations, including flights, hotels, transfers, and related services.
  • Proven Customer Service abilities, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving in a sales-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate, and close sales effectively.
  • Familiarity with GDS/booking platforms and CRM tools; proficiency in MS Office or similar productivity software.
  • Previous experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related sales role is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple tasks, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
