Summary
This role ensures end-to-end trade compliance excellence and effective transportation execution and optimization for India operations, while aligning with APAC and Group standards.
The position supports operational continuity, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
What You'll Do
- Trade Compliance Responsibilities 1- Perform and maintain HS classification for imported and exported products relevant to India, aligned with global classification standards.
2- Conduct Product Classification Research Using
- Indian Customs Tariff
- WCO Explanatory Notes
- Customs rulings and technical product documentation
3- Monitor Indian trade regulation changes (Customs Act, FTP, DGFT notifications, FTAs, Certification like BIS, WPC, EPR, etc.) and recommend corrective actions. Follow-up the implementation for risk mitigation.
4- Maintain complete classification justification files, audit trails, and documentation
5- Support Import/ export control compliance activities by collecting, reviewing, and validating product and transaction data
6- Support internal and external customs and compliance audits and follow up on corrective measures
7- Act as the first point of contact for trade compliance inquiries from India operations
8- Support implementation of Group Trade Compliance policies, SOPs, and training programs at local level
9- Conduct trade risk monitoring and contribute to compliance reporting
10- Drive continuous improvement of local trade compliance processes.
- Transportation Responsibilities 1- Coordinate and support international and domestic transportation activities for India operations with the help of CHAs, freight forwarders & other stakeholders. 2- Support execution and review of transportation agreements, tenders, or service provider evaluations in coordination with AP / Group Transport teams 3- Monitor logistics service provider performance and drive improvements (on-time delivery, service quality, cost, and compliance) 4 Support optimization of freight routes, modes, and costs while ensuring compliance with customs and DG regulations 5- Support usage of SAP S/4HANA for transportation execution and data accuracy 6- Ensure transportation activities comply with customs, trade compliance, AP/Group transport policy/procedure, and safety requirements 7- Support resolution of transportation-related operational issues and continuous process improvement 8- Ensure all India logistics service provider's transportation data are clearly documented for CO2e measurement purpose.

Task-related decision-making authority necessary to fulfil responsibilities within defined policies, SOPs, and approval limits
Decisions are governed by Belimo's business authorities, compliance rules, and applicable laws
Who You Are
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Law, or related discipline).
- Technical affinity; ability to interpret product specifications
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years experience in:
Trade compliance, customs, import/export, or logistics roles
Exposure to Indian customs and foreign trade regulations
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred
