We are seeking a motivated Transport Planner with 2 years of professional experience to support a range of urban transport planning and traffic engineering assignments. The role will involve working on Multi-Modal Integration (MMI) studies, public transport analysis, and transport modelling projects for urban and regional networks. The candidate will support senior team members in analysis, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and delivery of MMI studies, including assessment of multimodal connectivity, access/egress, interchange planning, and last-mile solutions.
- Undertake bus service and public transport analysis, including route performance assessment, ridership analysis, service rationalisation, and network planning.
- Conduct data collection, validation, and analysis, including traffic counts, public transport surveys, travel demand data, and GIS-based datasets.
- Assist in evaluating impacts of development proposals, corridor improvements, and policy interventions.
- Prepare technical notes, reports, drawings, and presentations to support project deliverables and client submissions.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including planners, engineers, architects, and government agencies.
- Support senior planners in scenario testing, option evaluation, and formulation of recommendations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in transport planning or traffic engineering consultancy.
- Hands-on experience with MMI studies, bus service planning, or public transport projects.
- Working knowledge of transport modelling tools (VISUM, VISSIM, AIMSUN, TransCAD, or similar).
- Experience in data analysis using Excel, GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS), or similar tools.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills with attention to technical accuracy and clarity.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
