Project: Public transport planning in a Tier-1 Indian city

Role description

• Job location: New Delhi/Gurugram
• Work mode: Work from office (5 days a week)
• Compensation: Up to INR 80,000 monthly
• Contract period: Minimum 8 months
• Joining: Immediate joining preferred

Job Description

• Conduct analysis of transportation data, including traffic patterns and transit system performance

• Engage with government transit agency and stakeholders, including technical agencies, funding organisation & civil society

• Participate in site visits and data collection to understand real-world transportation challenges.

• Contribute to the design of transportation systems that improve urban mobility, reduce congestion, and enhance public transport accessibility

• Support the development of traffic models and simulations to inform infrastructure planning and optimization

• Conduct research and contribute to reports on best practices in road design and public transport strategies

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree in Transport Planning, or a related field

• Hands-on understanding of transportation planning & GIS software

• Hands-on experience with Data Analytics

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and work with large datasets

• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• A passion for improving urban mobility and contributing to sustainable transportation solutions
