Role Transportation Manager

Education – Graduate / Postgraduate

Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the Transportation and logistics domain in the Retail and e-commerce sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Transportation.
• first Mile and Last Mile and possess knowledge of ecommerce deliveries, including logistics partner.
• management, order dispatching, and vehicle tracking.
• Must be experience with managing Full truck load, part truck load and intracity transportation.
• including milk run delivery for local and upcountry routes.
• Must have handled a fleet of 500 + local fleet of vehicles for intra-city movements.
• Should be familiar with safety protocols and legal regulations of inland domestic transportation.
• Will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency of our transportation operations while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Will be responsible for sourcing and deployment of 3PL Partners for last mile delivery of B2B and B2C shipments from warehouse to customer.
• Should have adequate commercial acumen of all type and mode of transportation movement for inter-city and Intra city transportation.
• Should have prior experience of managing van and bike deployment for last mile delivery through3PL vendors as per weekly and monthly capacity planning.
• Should have hands on experience of data analysis of various transportation management reports to arrive at decisions.
• Should have prior experience of Managing 3PL vendor performance by defining SLA based score cards.
• Must have negotiation skills with transportation suppliers/vendors for sourcing of transportation services for all miles.
• Should be able to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders for transportation related aspects.

Should be able to drive initiatives and optimization projects independently and achieve desired result as an independent contributor.
