Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thiruvananthapuram for a Transplant Nurse. Responsibilities include providing pre- and post-operative care to transplant patients, assisting in surgical procedures, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. The role also involves patient education, monitoring for complications, maintaining detailed medical records, and supporting patients through their recovery and rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

  • Clinical skills: Proficiency in patient care, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications.
  • Specialized knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of transplant procedures, post-operative care, and infection control practices.
  • Communication skills: Strong ability to educate patients and families, collaborate with healthcare teams, and manage patient care plans effectively.
  • Administrative competence: Adept in maintaining accurate medical records and using hospital information systems.
  • Additional qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, B.Sc. in Nursing or equivalent, prior experience in transplant nursing preferred, and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care and ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
