This is a remote position.
Seeking Transmission Line Engineer with experience and a strong understanding of transmission line engineering support Power Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, BESS, and Data Center projects across the United States. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in PLS-CADD, able to accurately design transmission lines, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- Support high‑voltage transmission line and substation designs for renewable energy developments (utility‑scale PV solar, wind, and BESS), data centers, and interconnection substations from initial design to completion.
- Independently perform structural drafting and design tasks by interpreting sketches, redlines, and markups with minimal supervision.
- Develop, revise, draft and maintain transmission line drawings, including:
- Plan & Profile drawings
- Structure framing plans and loads
- Prepare reinforced concrete foundation plans, sections and details
- Review Structural Steel calculations and drawings from pole manufacturers.
- Ensure drawings comply with company CAD standards, client requirements, and project specifications.
- Perform engineering administrative and document control tasks, including:
- Plotting and printing drawings
- Creating and assembling PDF drawing sets
- Managing drawing revisions, title blocks, and transmittals
- Supporting file organization and electronic document management
- Produce accurate, organized, high‑quality drawing packages suitable for internal reviews, client submittals, and construction.
- Maintain drawing control, revision histories, and supporting project documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and work with engineers of multi‑disciplines (civil, structural, protection, physical, and controls).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree (MS Degree preferred) in Civil/Structural Engineering from a reputable institution.
- Experience in Transmission Line Engineering using PLS-CADD software
