Role - To design and develop automotive manual transmissions (gearbox)
Responsibilities -
- Transmission and drive-train packaging within vehicle architecture
- Design of gears, shafts, synchronizers, shift systems, differentials, and gearbox components
- 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings
- Designer CAE support and engineering analysis
- NVH investigation, testing support, and root-cause analysis
- Cross-functional coordination for project delivery
Competency Required
Technical-
- CAD proficiency (Unigraphics preferred)
- Designer CAE analysis (Unigraphics preferred)
- Gear design software such as Romax/KISSsoft
- Tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, FTA, project management
Behavioral -
- Self-driven and proactive
- Strong teamwork and networking skills
- Effective communication and presentation capability
Specific expertise -
- OEM automotive experience
- Good driving skills and vehicle evaluation understanding
