The Translations Manager is an appointed position on the ACYA National Executive and is a member of ACYA's Communications Team. The Translations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all ACYA translation work for the National Executive Committee.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the deployment of the translations team to different projects, portfolios, operations, Chapters and/or executives within ACYA, on request;
- Provide quality control (review) of all translation work;
- Maintain up-to-date translation of the ACYA website and key documents;
- Select and lead a team of bilingually capable Translations officers to support the portfolio; and
- Represent ACYA in public forums, as required
Requirements
- Time commitment of 5-10 hours/week;
- Ability to work well managing small teams;
- Demonstrated native English and Chinese proficiency and translation ability;
- Demonstrated high level of cultural awareness between Australia and China; and
- (Optional but preferred) Experience managing across cultures, particularly with respect to the Australia-China relationship
